Mobile Elevating Work Platform (Aerial Lift / Scissor Lift) Training

This course includes a review of the required aspects of OSHA’s Mobile Elevating Work Platform (Aerial Lift) standard, discussions regarding safe operations and equipment inspections, determination of lifting and load capacities, and operator evaluations with accompanying documentation.

*Number of participants, minimum booking hours and additional materials fees may apply. Class time is dependent upon number of students and equipment for practical exercise.

Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT)

Operators of powered industrial trucks must be trained and evaluated at least every 3 years before being allowed to operate a powered industrial truck such as forklifts, order pickers, and motorized pallet jacks. This class covers initial training for new employees as well as refresher training needed to recertify existing employees.

*Number of participants, minimum booking hours and additional materials fees may apply. Class time is dependent the type and number of forklifts to evaluate and number of students.

Overhead and Gantry Crane Operator

This training course is for operators and employees who work with overhead and gantry cranes. The course covers lifting requirements and capacities, hoist and rigging equipment, limitations, load dynamics, inspection, and maintenance criteria. The training covers classroom lecture as well as hands-on, operator evaluations using overhead and gantry cranes utilizing various loads.

Crane Hoisting & Rigging

This training covers the safety and mechanical aspects of operating a crane including safety and risks factors, slings and rigging, load and weight differentials, shoring and support, inspections, and maintenance requirements. Individual site-specific crane operations can be addressed for the employer as needed.

Welding & Hot Work Safety Awareness OSHA

This training educates employees on safe work procedures for “hot work”. Your employees will be taught safe welding practices, proper identification and use of PPE, and how to identify the hazards of using compressed gasses or welding in confined spaces.

Heavy Equipment

Operators of heavy equipment, including backhoes, front end loaders, skid-steers and others, require expertise and knowledge to ensure safe operation. This course covers: equipment dynamics and controls; steering and maneuverability; material lifting and loading capacities and stability; vehicle inspection and maintenance; refueling procedures and safety precautions; and implementation of workplace operating procedures and pedestrian precautions.

Machine Guarding

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requires that employees be properly trained on the risks and hazards of machinery and the protective nature of machine guarding. This awareness course is designed for employees in the workplace who are potentially exposed to hazards associated with machinery. During the course, students will learn: types of machine guards and how they provide protection from hazards; risks of removal of guards; what to do if a safeguard is damaged, missing, or unable to provide adequate protection.
